...to be jolly for most but not for those suffering in Mindanao.
It's good to give. It's good to share. Giving, after all, is the true spirit of Christmas.
But can't we also make this a season for learning as well as applying what we learned?
Remember Ormoc, Infanta, and now CDO and Iligan.
And those loggers, miners, and so-called public servants who have somehow caused this catastrophe with their recklessness.
After all the experts have explained what really caused this, after much media coverage, can't we demand for immediate action from government?
Let's make sure the death and losses of thousands mean more than pain, suffering, and trauma.
Let's make this a season of justice as well.

and i hope local officials start paying attention to the denr study that shows where people should not be allowed to build homes.
and i hope reporters look at this story using the PHE formula: population, health, and environment.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, beatburn.
atticus, those officials who turn a blind eye should be tied to those trees.
there is a formula? i thought it was simple: sensationalize the story that sells.

beatburn, not really a formula. but it's these factors should be taken into account when covering a story like sendong.
